How to detect broken links in content

In this guide we will help you learn how to detect broken links in content. SiteSEO Pro can analyze your content to find out broken links which are the links which result in 404 error.

Finding Broken links

  • In WordPress admin go to SiteSEO --> Audit
  • On Audit page in the Settings tab, save the scan settings.
  • Then go to the Scan Broken links tab and then click on Launch Bot.
  • Now the bot will scan pages, make sure not to close the window. The logs of the scan will be updated in real-time too.
  • Once completed, it will show you if it finds broken links, if it finds Broken Link then go to the Broken Link page, in SiteSEO --> Broken Link from the left navigation of WordPress.

Now all you need to do is, click on the edit icon and it will open the page/post where the broken link was found in the edit mode.

And then you can fix the broken URL, by removing it or updating it.
